INTERNATIONAL TEACHING AID COMPETITION 2022 (iTAC 2022)
We are pleased to invite you and your esteemed organisations to join the INTERNATIONAL TEACHING AID COMPETITION 2022 (iTAC 2022) which will be held on 17th – 24th June 2022, virtually. The event is organized by Public Interest Centre of Excellence, (PICE), Universiti Teknologi MARA Kedah Branch and will be held concurrently with the Technology, Science, Social Sciences and Humanities International Conference (TeSSHI 2022).

iTAC 2022 provides opportunities for academics, teachers, teacher trainees, as well as students to share their creative and innovative approaches in teaching. In addition, iTAC2022 creates a platform for them to share ideas on how to best educate the currently global and techno-savvy students.
​
Participants stand a chance to win gold, silver or bronze e-certificates under each category. Winners will be selected by a panel of esteemed judges who are experts in their fields. Certificates of participation will be issued to each group.

ITAC COMPETITION CATEGORIES
The competition invites participants from :

Category A - Professional, Academics from Universities, Colleges and Polytecnics

Category B - Students from Universities, Colleges and Polytechnics

Category C - School students ( Primary and secondary)
ITAC COMPETITION CLUSTERS
Interested participants are invited to submit their innovative products via video submission (Youtube links) under either one of the following competition clusters:

a) ITAC – Teaching Aid
Under this category, participants are to submit a 5-minute video sharing their creative and innovative approaches/products in teaching.
​
b) General Innovation – general/ open
Under this category, participants are to submit a 5-minute video sharing their creative and innovative approaches/products in any field.
Each group must consist of not more than 5 members inclusive advisors.
ITAC ABSTRACT GUIDELINES

Abstract must be written in one paragraph only (250 words).
-
Abstract must be written in English or Malay with no grammatical errors.
-
A good abstract should contain background, problem statement, objective, novelty, benefits to society and commercialization potentials.

PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES

All accepted extended abstracts will be published in English and Malay as iTAC e-Proceedings with e-ISBN.

iTAC e-Proceedings is only for ITAC 2022 (innovation competition) which is a different publication from TeSSHI 2022

ITAC video presentation guidelines
​
The video presentation must not exceed 5 minutes.
​
The video will be judged based on the following criteria :
-
technical aspects including clarity and quality of visuals (lighting) and audio (sound)
-
content of the presentation (e.g. interesting, relevant, clarity of ideas, creative)
-
delivery of the presentation (e.g. clear speech/pronunciation, dynamism)
​
The video presentation can be in the form of presenter(s) appearing in the video presenting the product, and/or the use of PowerPoint slides accompanied by voiceovers.
The video must be uploaded on YouTube. Please set the privacy setting to ‘Unlisted’ if you wish to restrict the audience to those who only have access to the link of your video.
